Paid Work Placements

CREATE stands for Community Recycling and Training Enterprise.

We have a successful history in providing paid work experience for unemployed individuals across the region.

We work alongside organisations and funding providers to address inequalities within the recruitment processes particularly for people who may be classed as ‘vulnerable’ or ‘furthest removed from the labour market’.

Contracts vary depending on the available funding streams but aim to provide:

  • 6 month paid work
  • Training plan
  • Full supervision
  • Full PPE
  • Employability skills
  • Agency support with life skills and other barriers to employment
  • CV and work reference
  • Assistance in finding full time employment

Individuals may be offered a variety of placements to suit their abilities (depending on availability) these may cover:

  • Warehousing
  • Appliance refurbishment
  • Transport
  • Retail
  • Office/administration

Individuals may be able to achieve specific relevant qualifications depending on the availability and funding.

Volunteering

Volunteering is a great way to gain new skills whilst supporting CREATE to achieve its aims and objectives. Volunteering is unpaid work which contributes towards the running of the organisation.

Volunteering is recognised by most employers as relevant skills development and demonstrates a good work ethic and good community values. Having a volunteer placement on your CV could help you to stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs.

Most volunteers work to a set pattern which may just be a few hours each week. All volunteer placements are supervised, and some people can move onto placements or work depending on the situation and availability.
